This is the bridge we just drove across

Yes, it's wooden and rather sketchy, but we ended up driving across it three times and it held. I don't want to know what an engineer would say.

But, you might be asking "why did you drive across it three times?"

Well, yesterday the driver seemed to be having trouble getting in to gear, but it seemed fine this morning until we got stuck in the mud. Then the rear axle started making ominous clunking noises periodically, which got more frequent. We stopped for tea in Ghemi and the driver took a look at it, claimed it was a loose screw end it was fixed, so we headed on. As we headed out of the village, the clunking resumed, and right after we crossed the bridge about a half mile away (and 500 feet of elevation) the rear differential gives way entirely (although we can reverse, just not forward). So back across the bridge. We then hike back up to the village for lunch and our guide tries to find another jeep.
