On our way to Kagbeni
We had to wait for the jeep to go around the long way since the road is closed. In the second picture you can see the upper road with the giant pile of gravel. We got to that and had to back track to take the lower road which was not blocked. We remain confused why the upper road was blocked since we clearly were able to take it. They're building a bridge over the river, but people just drive through the river instead.
We were also taking bets on how many seasons of flooding the bridge would actually withstand. They would have had to go down 50 or more feet to get to rock, rather than just put the supports in glacial till.
