Initial impressions of Nepal

The pollution is much less than Delhi or Jaipur (but dad says it's a particular good day)

People smile!! That doesn't happen that much in India. And they're happy to chat with you too. (Apparently Nepalese are known for being friendly.)

There's a lot more smoking. I didn't even really notice the absence of it in India until we got here.

There are temples everywhere. Really. Everywhere.

There are far fewer touts and a lot less pressure from rickshaw drivers, store owners, etc.

There was tremendous damage from the 2015 earthquake and they're still repairing it.

So far, I'm really liking Nepal. It's relaxing compared to India, and just downright pleasant in its own right.
